On 20th of November Project OSCAR team ( Mrs. Vijaya Lakshmi, Manjesh, Sanjivani, Rekha, Pravin) visited K.V. Bhandup School at 10.a.m. to present a demo of Project OSCAR repository.
Firstly, Manjesh Kumar introduced the team and expressed Project OSCAR team's gratitude to CDAC for giving such an opportunity. Sanjivani gave a brief introduction about Project OSCAR and it's animations. Semeena and Dhanya gave a demo of the animations and explained it's purpose.Sanjivni explained the importance of animations and how it helps in overcoming the limitations of black - board teaching. She invited them to participate in Project OSCAR as mentors or developers. She also asked them to give suggestions and feedback. The response of the teachers showed that animations are one of the means by which they can clearly explain a concept. She also told them about the Content Creation Contest for Children (C3C) and asked them to encourage their students to participate.
After the demo, the team distributed OSCAR CD (Version 3) and posters of C3C contest. The CD contains information about Project OSCAR, all animations in the repository and the system requirements needed to run the animations.
